My friend's name is Taj. He's such a great buddy. Whenever I need to pour out my heart he's the one I seek because he's such great listener. He never interrupts and he's absolutely non- judgmental. I always walk away refreshed. Whenever I watch TV he  sits beside me on the sofa and we have this uncanny knowing just what the other wants. I've never had a fight or quarreled with him. And I miss him. He's no longer here. He left us almost 2 years ago but his memory lingers on fresh. Oh, the nights are especially hard when my wife is on night duty. The house is so quiet.

He's from mix parentage; so am I. He is half Norwegian Forest Cat. Oh by the way, Taj is a cat. His full name is Taj Mahal. No, he is not my pet; he was my friend. I hope that all cats go to heaven. When I get there I'm going to ask the first angel I meet, "Have you seen my friend Taj? Yeah, he's a cat alright but he is my friend."  Yes, I miss my friend. His name is Taj.
